We like to go and support local stall holders at the markets. The seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables are always a drawcard. The range of produce has increased and you can now buy high quality meats, cheeses, grains, dried fruits and jams, etc, at the markets.
The appealing aroma of pancakes, a variety of breakfasts, coffee and ice creams will tempt as you browse around the stalls.
Australia’s first home grown silk products, versatile bags, lovely colourful scarves and hats are on sale. Another stall sells cute little tops and dresses for girls. The range of dresses and women’s clothing looked very interesting and the jewellery stall attracted plenty of buyers.
You can purchase wine while there from the cellar door and then go for a coffee or breakfast at the restaurant.
What a great picturesque location, easy access and plenty of parking – a far cry from the lack of parking way back when the markets were held in Old Dunsborough. The Vasse Markets are still held on the alternate Saturdays.
