We like to go and support local stall holders at the markets. The seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables are always a drawcard. The range of produce has increased and you can now buy high quality meats, cheeses, grains, dried fruits and jams, etc, at the markets.
The appealing aroma of pancakes, a variety of breakfasts, coffee and ice creams will tempt as you browse around the stalls.
Australia’s first home grown silk products, versatile bags, lovely colourful scarves and hats are on sale. Another stall sells cute little tops and dresses for girls. The range of dresses and women’s clothing looked very interesting and the jewellery stall attracted plenty of buyers.
What a great picturesque location, easy access and plenty of parking – a far cry from the lack of parking way back when the markets were held in Old Dunsborough. The Vasse Markets are still held on the alternate Saturdays.
Market dates are posted around town or simply pop in to the Dunsborough Information Centre near Tas’s Bakery to get all the info. An Art market is held on the second sunday of the month at Happs – click the following link to see a flyer. Art Market Second Sunday of every month
